Duefold Privacy Policy
Effective September 30, 2026

Your charges stay on your phone.

Duefold keeps the dates and amounts of your recurring charges in one place. It has no account, no bank link and no servers that receive your ledger. This page explains exactly what that means.

Inside the app

The policy

01Who we are

Duefold is an iPhone app published by Jeff Jones ("we", "us"). It helps you see the day each recurring charge leaves: subscriptions, phone plans, insurance, yearly dues and trials. This policy applies to the Duefold app and to this page.

02What the app keeps

Duefold only stores what you enter yourself:

SlipsName, amount, currency, period, next date and an optional note
SealedCharges you closed, the blocked date and your note
Calendar marksQuiet gaps, thin line, payday and names for days
PreferencesWeek start, default currency and month pair notes

Duefold never asks for bank logins, card numbers, account numbers, your name, email, contacts, photos or location. It does not read your transactions and it does not make or cancel payments.

03Where it lives

Everything above is saved in the app's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server we operate. If your device backup is turned on, iOS may include this storage in your own iCloud or computer backup, which is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy terms.

04What we collect

We do not collect personal data through the app. In particular:

  • No account or sign in is required, and none exists.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking tools are built into the app.
  • No advertising identifier is read and no activity is tracked across other apps or websites.
  • No information is sold, rented or shared.

If you choose to share crash reports with developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash data to us. We use it only to fix problems in the app.

05Third parties

Duefold contains no third party SDKs for advertising or analytics. The app is distributed through the App Store, and your download and purchase history are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

06This web page

When you open this policy from the Desk screen, the app loads this page over the internet. As with any website, the server that hosts it may record standard technical request details such as IP address, device type and time of the request for security and delivery. These details are not linked to anything stored in Duefold.

07Your control

  • Edit, move, seal or delete any slip from the Slips screen.
  • Reopen or erase sealed charges from the Sealed screen.
  • Change payday, thin line, week start and currency on the Desk screen.
  • Delete the app to remove all of its stored data from the device.

08Children

Duefold is a personal finance tool meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the app does not collect personal data from anyone.

09Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we hold no personal data from the app, the data on your device is already fully in your hands. You can still contact us with any request and we will reply.

10Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
